    • Alright Stay Outside Summer Season

      Reviewed 27 August 2019

Stayed in Valemount and the in the Robson Valley over a dozen times but this is actually my first time staying at the Alpine Inn. It was an alright stay overall to stay ahead of the Victoria Day weekend. I was put in the newer part of the hotel and it showed and smelled of newness when I stayed in the room. Looked a little more modernized when compared to the photos over the years. Just a basic room with what is needed for someone on the road. Did find wifi can be hit or miss but that happens in hotels especially away from major centres. That's what I can say before factoring in summer rates given the market. Valemount is a great place to visit to take in the scenery and my favourite site Mount Robson Provincial Park in the Canadian Rockies. Whole village gets hit with a summer/bus tour tax as prices do go up since it's the closest community from Jasper National Park where it's even more expensive there. Willing to pay $100/night in off season (not summer) but the whole village is overpriced during the summer. That's my tip for this room and others. Have no issues staying at the Alpine Inn in the future if my travel plans work out that way.

    • Could be better...

Our check in was quite pleasant and fast. The rooms are clean and spacious. It had microwave and mini fridge which is always a bonus in my book. I agree that this place could use some upgrading for the money they are charging for the room. But then again, the pricing is about average around here and I have just traveled 2-1/2 weeks from BC to Calgary Alberta and you will get what you paid for. Our sleep was pleasant and not a disturbance from outside at any time. The free WiFi is a little slow though but bearable One plus thing for us is the view of the mountain when you are on the street from this hotel. A+ for sure...

    • Overpriced- not suitable if towing a trailer

Room on second floor north wing. Air conditioned not turned on. Have to climb on chair to Turn it on. Dangerous. Beds are too soft. If you have a dog they will put on the second floor which doesnt make sense as a dog owner. Not convenient to go out with the dog on over 10 steps that are not according to code. Can kill yourself going down. Overpriced at close to $200 a night for old and no place tp park trailer to lug luggage on other side of motel.

    • Clean and spacious motel

Room 181 was a large room with a good sized bathroom, upright fridge and microwave. Clean, no carpets. Window could be opened. Nothing special from the outside. If staying in room 181 make sure they have replaced the mattress on bed closet to window. It had a sink hole in it!Maybe a little pricey for such simple accommodations. Nice to park in front of room door.

    • Worst customer service I have EVER seen!!

      Reviewed 29 July 2019

This lady that owns the place DoEs NOT deserve to be running a business. We booked online as its a pet friendly hotel, family room for 4 adults( myself, husband, daughter mother-in-law) 2 children (3 yrs and 6)and 2 small dogs. Get to the hotel after driving for 6 hrs!!and she looked at the 3 vehicles we were driving and storms in demanding we cancel our booking, tells us she didnt like how big our trucks were and that we had 2 small dogs even though they advertise pet friendly she just kept yelling for me to cancel my room, worse service I have EVER seen!! Would not recommend to support anyone that acts like this to customers!!! She should be shut down! Went to another hotel and I asked if they had lots of people coming from Alpine Inn because of her and yes, they confirmed they have had people leave the Alpine Inn.
