I stayed one night at the Aloft Chicago OHare, and compared to other Alofts Ive stayed at it was a huge disappointment. First when I got to the hotel I was made aware that it would be $35 for one night to park my car in their parking lot OR $25 if I wanted to park in the garage across the street that belongs to the casino. That price is outrageous, they did say its because people use the park and fly option at the hotel, if a guest isnt using the park and fly they should be allowed to park at no charge (or a charge that is significantly lower). I parked my car at Chicago OHare for 3 days and it was less expensive than one night at this hotel, heres my suggestion; park at OHare, ride the complimentary parking shuttle to the closest terminal, then call Alofts shuttle service and you will save at $15-25 a night by doing this. The Room: Smell- The room had a faint smell of smoke when I got in it which means they didnt clean it very well, or the people that work there have ZERO sense of smell. Outlet- one of the outlets in the room was fully pulled out of the wall when I got in, and when I tried to put it back I got an electric shock. WiFi- the WiFi was horribly slow, it clocked in around 35kbps (1000kbs=1mb) which isnt even enough to load the basic google search page (not the results, the place where you type in what you want to search) Bed- the bed mattress was comfortable enough, the sheets felt damp which was very unsettling to me. When not properly dried it can cause mold. Overall I had a very unpleasant experience at this hotel and I will be choosing a different hotel next time Im in the area. I have attached pictures for you viewing so you can see the nightmare

Fantastic experience. Lucy went above and beyond helping us with the room and our needs. It is always good to have a hotel staff member caring for their guests. This staff member acted as though we were her guest.

If I could just rate Clarisol - who helped with a meeting I was hosting - I would give her more than 5 if I could. Clarisol is a wonderful human being with a fantastic personality who went above and beyond for our meeting. I truly cannot thank her enough!! -- Give this woman lots of kudos, she is a huge asset to your property!

We stayed here for five days while attending a conference. This was our first time staying in an Aloft Hotel. Others have mentioned noise from the airport. Our room faced the airport and the main road and noise was a non-issue. The room is functional. The bedding, particularly the pillows, left a lot to be desired. They had no shape or firmness to them. The lobby area was a very busy location with people meeting up with one another. It was often very noisy as it seemed to be an extension of the meeting room area. In the five days that we stayed here, the cleaning staff only came twice and both times was after 5:00 p.m. The cleaning services provided were minimal. The hotel is conveniently located next to a number of very good restaurants and entertainment all within a one minute walk.

Hotel is in nice location and convenient to O'Hare. Upon checking in to my room I saw another set of key cards in envelope on the desk and one of the beds pillows looked mushed. The remote was also on that bed. I called the front desk just to make sure I wasn't given someone else's room. After being on hold for a while they told me it appeared to be a "housekeeping error". I was put back on hold for a while and just hung up, but they never did follow up with me or come in and actually change those sheets or anything. Of course, I just slept in the other bed and the good thing about the hotel was the bed was very cozy. I didn't notice any airplane or city noise on the 6th floor. Received breakfast voucher only worth $5 so breakfast was not completely free.
