    • Unfortunately quite disappointing

      Reviewed 26 May 2019

Unfortunately we were quite disappointed about this property. The upside is that the room was clean and erverything was there (TV, refrigerator, A/C etc), but the washing facilities, at this point shower, was horrible (no pressure, water hot OR cold). Although when you advertise a restaurant, you could imagine that you also can get food from there (in this case - dinner). You can't say I didn't ask, the lady from reception said "No" (which is weird, because in agriturismo it shouldn't be so hard to prepare a quick and simple pasta of some sort). Unfortunately same thing about breakfast, seeing chicken running around, it's hard to understand why breakfast consists only of products taken out of a package. I know it sounds harsh, but it literally takes 3 minutes to whip up a quick omelette. The last negative thing is value for money - 80 is a bit steep. I'm really sorry if I was too rough, maybe it was only our experience. There's a lot of potential, because the surrounding is really cute, horses, donkeys, chicken walking around, it's adorable. An excellent place to get away from the noise and relax. In this case it just lacked care for customers.

    • Brilliant food, and a comfortable bed

We booked this for our last night in Alghero, as it is just a few minutes from the airport. We had a fantastic meal, and Silvia was an extremely helpful hostess. She has good English, and explained what we were getting for each course. Her mother done the cooking, and the food was first class. When we told them we were leaving at 0500 in the morning, they prepared a lovely breakfast for us, and gave us a tray to bring to our room. We had a flask of hot coffee when we awoke in the morning along with sweet and savoury cakes. My wife is terrified of dogs, and when she seen I think at least dogs she refused to leave the car. But they were taken in, and there was not a sound from them during the night. I would highly recommend this B&B, but make sure to have the evening meal it is outstanding.

Countryside, family owned B&B just 5 minuets from Alghero airport. Very welcoming family and daughter speaks very good english. We had dinner when we arrived and it was excellent as was the breakfast. The family could not have been more helpful. We stayed the night we arrived and booked for the night before our departure two weeks later. As our flight was not until the evening the owners kindly allowed us to shower and change that evening before going to the airport. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated with large shower/bathrooms. As well as being convenient for the airport, the location is ideal for visiting the beaches and the city of Alghero which is well worth a visit.

    • Great food and a great stay!

We stayed at La Genziana agritourism in June 2013. We arrived from Alghero airport within 3 minutes and were greeted by the lovely Mena. It is a family run business, and Mena and their daughter Silvia went out of their way to make us as comfortable as possible. Nothing seemed impossible for them and when we complained that the cot was slightly damaged, they went out and bought us a brand new cot the next morning. They also gave us a kettle, and other things we needed for the baby. The room was comfortable and the garden is great for relaxing. My daughter was 14 months old and loved seeing the horses, dogs and running around in the grounds. Mena is the chef and her food is amazing. We had the most wonderful pork, goat, and barbecued meats as well as different pasta dishes nightly. Since I suffer from Coeliac disease she prepared gluten free food for me and prepared other food separately for the other guests. Her gluten free ravioli are to die for!! She also made me cookies, biscuits and cakes. We stayed for 6 nights and the Menu was varied daily. Highly recommended!
