People here is dishonest, rude and they do no clean the rooms well, you may find yourself in a room next to bad people. Service here is really bad mostly service from the restaurant. They bring whatever they want.

I didn't even stay here after driving up at 2:00 pm on a Tuesday and seeing multiple shady characters outside. To top it off, the entire hotel smelled like cigarettes and I was greeted by additional shady characters. It appears many people are living there, like a drug den with prostitutes.

We are a party of four, we have a family sized room on the 3rd floor, room has 2 double beds, large tv, coffee machine, nice sized bathroom, with a bath. Its clean, comfy beds, all staff are nice and helpful. Parking is ok. Yes there are some people who are outside the building smoking, and it looks like there are people here who seem down and out, but I have had no issues with them, and you find some hotels in the uk also house evicted people. I am happy to stay here again. I did not hear anybody fighting or shouting. The maid is great, she cleans the carpet everyday. I have read the reviews before I booked, but I had a good stay, cant complain about anything.

This hotel is both convenient to much of downtown Hamilton and a good value for the money. The facility is clean, nicely appointed and easy to get to from major highways. McMaster University is 5 minutes away and sits across the street from Dundurn Castle, a major Hamilton tourist attraction.

On the plus side, every single staff member we encountered was super friendly and helpful. From the check in clerk, to room service, to housekeeping, to maintenance. That is this hotel's strongest plus, for sure! On another positive note, there is a small restaurant on site serving food (it's licensed) all day, and they do room service. While the food was not great, it was convenient and good enough. Now to the issues. For the price we paid, $300 for one night, the property is just not in the same league as others in town at this price point. To begin with, it is dated and run down, with a musty smell. Our room had some issues. The shower would not work, so the shower head was replaced (good), but the valve that alternates flow between tub and shower was not replaced (bad), so we had only the shower. In addition, I had an ice cold shower this morning. It turns out the hot and cold flows are reversed. I didn't think to try to turn it colder, lol, to get heat. The TV signal was really poor. Lots of snow. That was frustrating because we wanted to watch a specific sports thing in the afternoon. The AC/heat unit was quite noisy. They say they provide toiletries, but that is defined as some really poor quality slivers of soap, a makeup remover square and a small tube of not great shampoo. To me, those really are not toiletries. Soundproofing is not really a thing :( So overall, I would give their staff 5 stars, and the property 2 stars, so I settled for 3 stars :)
