    • Perfect for our two-night stay

I have to confess that this hotel was not our first option. However, it was perfect for what we had in mind. The location could not be better. The breakfast buffet was perfect; our room had a beautiful sea view and was clean and comfortable. I would definitely choose this hotel again. The only drawback was parking. There is a public parking just in front of the hotel but it was closed for remodeling. However, there are many options in the neighborhood and the hotel offers a discount at Praza da Estrela parking which is a 10-minute walk away.

    • Good location but rooms smell of smoke

We stayed here for a few nights and while the location is amazing (great if you are going to the islands) and the staff are friendly, on a number of occasions are rooms smelt of smoke (which is weird given its a smoke free hotel). We flagged to the staff and while they initially tried to fix it it didnt work. They offered to change our room, which given the time of the offer(as we headed out) we declined. There explanation was that someone was obviously smoking and they had no control over this. Shame as it ruined a good hotel.

My husband and I went to Vigo for a wedding. The room was very clean and neat, kind of small but good enough. The hotel was very well located, our room overlooked the marina and they happened to have a festival at the time. Easy to walk around to the historic center. The breakfast included was very good. The staff was very friendly, they helped us coordinate a taxi to Porto. Overall very smooth and pleasant stay.

    • Great Location, solid hotel, Bonvoy Benefits

As an ambassador Bonvoy member I always seek out Marriotts. Often times in Europe the location is not ideal and I have to stray from the chain, but this AC hotel in Vigo was located in the best place possible in Vigo for a great time! The building itself is very beautiful from the outside. The lobby continues with an elegant feel. The rooms don't translate as well with a more modern/typical AC hotel feel. Certainly clean and functional, but nothing as special as the public spaces or outside would suggest. The port is right next to the hotel if you're going to the Cies islands...there are bars and restaurants within walking distance that are not only popular, but open til the wee hours of the morning, and there is the opportunity to drink in the bar itself, which serves pretty great drinks. The breakfast in the morning is solid, again fits the typical AC hotel bill for breakfast. The service matches that as well with extremely helpful, professional, but not over and beyond service. Definitely would stay here again as the value is unbelievable. It's not a St. Regis, but I'm pretty sure you won't find anything close to that in Vigo.

    • Lovely stay

We had a lovely 3 night stay here. Terrific location. Across the street from the water and the ferries to the islands, at the edge of Old Town, and just over a block from the Pescaderia Street where we had most of of our dinners. Two different information centers, one for Vigo and one for all of Galicia are almost across the street. We had a well appointed room facing the water with a nespresso machine. Many thanks to Sara for all her help. Municipal parking is directly across the street at a slightly discounted rate of 13. You must first check in to the hotel and get a parking ticket. You cant enter the structure without a ticket. Breakfast was as you would expect.
